Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy covers Track Packs, The Experimenters Substack subscription, and 1:1 Coaching sessions. PickBits sells digital goods and services. Refund eligibility depends on what you bought and whether the content has been delivered or accessed.

Track Packs — 14-Day Refund Window

Track Packs (Vibe Coder, Field Guides, Vibe Management) are one-time purchases of digital content. We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase, provided that:

• You have not downloaded the bundle PDF or completion certificate, AND
• You have accessed fewer than 25% of the track's premium modules, AND
• You have not redeemed your bundled coaching session voucher.

If you meet those criteria, email owner@pickbits.ai with the subject line "Track Pack refund request" and include the email address you used at checkout. We typically process eligible refunds within 5 business days back to your original payment method via Stripe.

After 14 days, or once you have crossed any of the access thresholds, Track Pack purchases are non-refundable. Track content remains accessible to you indefinitely (for as long as your PickBits account exists), and the Founder-tier perks remain active for the 12-month window from your purchase date.

EU / UK Consumers — Right of Withdrawal

If you are an EU or UK consumer, you ordinarily have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for digital content. Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (and equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations), this right is extinguished once the digital content has been delivered, provided the consumer (a) has given prior express consent to immediate delivery, and (b) acknowledged that they will lose the right of withdrawal as a result.

By clicking the buy button at checkout, you give that prior express consent and that acknowledgement, so the statutory withdrawal right ends as soon as you receive access. Our 14-day refund window above is broader and more generous than the statutory right, and remains the primary path for refunds.

Experimenter Subscription — Billed by Stripe

You can subscribe to the Experimenter tier directly on /experimenters, billed by Stripe at $5/month or $45/year. This is a recurring subscription that auto-renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel.

• Cancel anytime from the Stripe Customer Portal — open it via the "manage billing" link on your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your Experimenter access remains active through the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Refunds: if you cancel within 14 days of a charge (your first signup or any renewal) and email owner@pickbits.ai, we will refund that charge in full. After 14 days a charge is non-refundable, but you keep access until the period ends and no further charges occur once cancelled.
• Failed payments: if a renewal charge fails, Stripe automatically retries for a short window. Access continues during retries; if the charge ultimately fails the subscription cancels and the tier drops to free.
• Promotion codes may be applied at checkout. Refunds on discounted charges are limited to the amount actually paid.

The Experimenters — Substack Subscription (legacy path)

The Experimenter tier can also be obtained through a paid Substack subscription. Substack-billed subscriptions are governed by Substack's own policies:

• You can cancel at any time from your Substack subscriber settings.
• Refund requests for Substack-billed subscriptions should be directed to Substack support; PickBits does not have access to Substack billing controls.
• When you cancel, your experimenter tier on PickBits remains active until the end of the period reflected in our weekly Substack reconcile.

1:1 Coaching Sessions (Standalone)

Standalone coaching sessions are booked through Acuity Scheduling. Cancellation and rescheduling rules:

• More than 24 hours before the session: reschedule or full refund on request, no questions asked.
• Within 24 hours of the session: rescheduling permitted at our discretion; refunds not generally available because we have already blocked the time and prepared materials. Genuine emergencies are handled case-by-case.
• No-shows: non-refundable. We will reach out once to re-book; after that the session is forfeit.

Track Pack Coaching Voucher

Each Track Pack includes one 60-minute coaching voucher. The voucher itself has no separate cash value. If you request a refund of the parent Track Pack within the eligibility window, the voucher must not have been redeemed. After the Track Pack refund window closes, unused vouchers expire 12 months from purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Chargebacks

Please email us before initiating a chargeback — we will almost always work something out. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in account suspension and revocation of any active entitlements pending resolution with the card network.

Failed or Duplicate Charges

If you are charged twice, charged after a failed checkout, or believe a charge is otherwise incorrect, email owner@pickbits.ai with your order details (Stripe receipt URL is most helpful) and we will investigate and refund as appropriate.
